Every site has to start somewhere, and this one (perhaps the very first fan site for Mark Welling) is currently little more than the single page you're looking at. One day I'll pull my finger out and add a bit more to it, I promise ... For now I'll be content with making a pitiful attempt to divert attention away from the lack of content. There must be some good stuff here somewhere!
So just who is Mark Welling? I don't know him, so it would be pretty presumptuous of me if I tried to tell you. What's that? Oh right, the smart thing would be to hand over to somebody who does know him! Adam Fox, the director of Circling Serita:
Quote:
[Mark is] without a doubt one of the most hard-working, creative, and interesting people you will ever come across.
Mark was born on February 14th – Valentine's Day – 1980, in Wisconsin. As a child he and his family (his mother and father, his two older sisters, and his older brother, Tom) moved first to Delaware, and then to Okemos, Michigan; he graduated from Okemos High School in June 1998, and went on to attend Kettering University, graduating as a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME). More recently he decided to try his hand at acting, and his first two films, Wrestling and Circling Serita, are currently awaiting release.
Well that wasn't much. But it's the gist, at any rate. I could probably write something more detailed given a little more time, but there's no guarantee that anyone would want to read my blathering anyway!
Finally, if you want to contact me about this site for any reason, you just have to hit the link!

I'm sorry I took so long to get around to posting these! Here at long lost are two reviews of Mark's movie, Circling Serita, from Denise and Melinda, who both attended the premiere on August 10th. The general consensus seems to be that for a "no budget" movie, as it was described by Adam Fox, it's a very enjoyable film with a great premise.

As mentioned previously, Mark's second movie, Circling Serita, will be premiering at the Visulite Theatre in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Thursday, August 10th. The theatre has now opened up advance bookings for the showing, which will begin at 8:00pm and is open to anyone aged 18 years or over.
Unfortunately I'm a little too far away to go to the premiere myself (silly oceans getting in the way), but if you are able to get there, and assuming that the tickets haven't already sold out, Circling Serita should be well worth seeing. And who knows, you may even be lucky enough to meet some of the cast and crew if they're planning on attending ...

There hasn't been much news about Mark's movies, Wrestling and Circling Serita lately, but today I've got a few updates about both of them.
According to the movie's website, the premiere of Circling Serita is scheduled to be held at the Visulite Theatre in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Thursday, August 10th. With luck that means we won't have to wait too long to see the movie for ourselves!
Meanwhile, after some serious problems with the digital recording (documented by Spark Weekly), Wrestling is finally close to being ready for release. Festival screenings should begin in October, and the movie's premiere will likely be held in Delaware shortly afterwards. If everything goes to plan and let's face it, this film has already had far too much bad luck Wrestling should be released in late 2006 or early 2007.

A preview scene from Mark's latest movie, Circling Serita, is now available at mythicalsluglines.com. The scene, entitled "Back At The Bar", will probably be familar to anyone who read the movie's script.
And here I was, thinking that Tom Cruise is the only person who's capable of mixing a cocktail!

I'd like to wish Mark a really Happy 26th Birthday (Valentine's Day should always be easy to remember), and I'd like to offer everyone the opportunity to leave their own messages for him down in the comments. With luck I might even be able to get your messages to Mark, although I can't promise anything. I'm also hoping that we'll all finally get to see Mark in Wrestling and Circling Serita fairly soon, so keep those fingers and toes crossed!
This may be the start of a new tradition, assuming two things: firstly, that this site is in existence long enough for it to qualify as a tradition; secondly, that nobody contacts me to tell me that Mark hates birthdays, and that I should be slapped for mentioning it.
